The Process of Creating Mixed Media Circle Art

I begin the process of painting my 'turtle' paintings by using gouache and inks on watercolour paper to create colour circles.

I love how the vibrant colours blend and bleed across the paper.

Once dry I embellish the circles with colour pencil detail.

Embellishing circles using coloured pencil details and patterns.

The circles are cut out and become part of the turtle acrylic paintings.
